I’ve wanted to wrap the pillars in lights for years & this year I finally did it to make it extra special for my mother - there are 2000 led’s on each pillar⚡️Swipe to see more of my vintage tree decorations - they are all made of glass, Eastern European, mostly from Ukraine (I have been buying them from the same dealers for years & currently have more on their way even in this terrible time of war) & date to c.1950. I absolutely adore them & confess to be completely addicted to collecting them. The miniature ones on the vintage clear plastic tree on the dining table are new for this year & are giving me MUCH pleasure - enjoy!

“Ready to Party!” was my mothers response when

“Ready to Party!” was my mothers response when asked how she was when she arrived on Christmas Day! Her attitude & sense of humour whilst dealing with the bleakest of rare conditions is an utter marvel - she has CBD (Corticobasal Degeneration) which is similar to MND (Motor Neurones Disease) but much rarer. Because of her wheelchair she couldn’t come upstairs to the sitting room where the tree is so I went to town with decorations in the kitchen and dining room to make up for it. To have her at home with us made for the happiest of days filled with so much love & laughter - it really was a very precious time indeed. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & are enjoying this down time period betwixt… xx ❤️💗❤️💗❤️

They were all made in Germany for the American market, date to c1950-70 I believe (although can’t confirm) & cover a variety of themes. This one I’m calling ‘HOLIDAY’ as it’s not just for Christmas - every other holiday is represented - Easter, Halloween, Valentines & New Year as well as a variety of beautiful animals. These wreaths are really very special & are an investment as you will use it every year which will save you money in the long term as won’t need to buy a new one every year! I’ve had the most wonderful time today catching

I’ve had the most wonderful time today catching up with lovely clients who have popped in to see me. I honestly can’t thank you enough for braving the ghastly weather & making the effort to come & find my new home - I gather it can be quite tricky to find but once you’re here you can park for free & I’m told it’s very much worth the effort! This is where I will be spending a lot of time from now on but right now I’m off home to collapse in an exhausted heap with a very large G&T!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who’s popped in to see me in my new home this week! It’s been so wonderful to see you all after what feels like forever. I’m also here all day tomorrow from 10-6 and then after that it will be by appointment only but I will be here a lot so do let me know if you would like to come and have a browse - you can park on site for free & no pressure to buy anything just come for a cuppa! The balloons are somewhat deflated after the torrential downpours this week but my spirits definitely aren’t - it really is a very exciting new chapter for Charlie Bordewich Antiques so here’s to new adventures!🥂

You are allowed to block someone in as they are mostly here all day so feel free to drive in & park up. The weather has been utterly filthy but I am open all day today, tomorrow and Saturday 10-6 so do jump in your car and pop down to see me if you have time. Getting ready to launch next week! I am very excited to share the news that I am opening a little studio space in Clapham North where I will have a couple of open house events every year in June & November but it will also be open by appointment all year round. It’s nothing fancy or glamorous but it’s going to revolutionise the way I work & the industrial shelving will be stuffed full of treasure from floor to ceiling so the next time you need a gift you can just pop down to see what’s in stock. I will still be selling on insta & via my website (eventually) but for now I am busy busy busy getting it all ready to show you next week so do come by if you are around, it would be lovely to see you!
