Just thought I’d pop up & say hello after a long Instagram absence. I’ve had some time out to focus on my darling Mum & have also just returned from a wonderful holiday in Wales. I will be back very soon with lots of treasure for sale but in the meantime I thought I’d share these 2 perfect mini pompom dahlias which greeted me on my return from holiday. I’m new to growing dahlias - I tried one last year & was so thrilled with the result that I’ve gone a bit crazy this year & have got so many varieties ready to burst that I’m obsessively checking them every day! This beautiful little Victorian urn vase is a Wales holiday purchase & a keeper I’m afraid, not for sale. It has an engraved lozenge on its side which means it can be dated precisely to January 1870 which is a particular thrill. As I say I’ll be back very soon but in the meantime I hope you are all very well & having a lovely summer! Cx

I’ve popped up! I’m at The Belmond Cadogan Hotel on Sloane Street till 7pm if you’re in the area… Very pleased with my new handmade tablecloth (handstitched the bullion fringe on yesterday - nothing like a deadline!) although now that the sun is shining again (YAY!) & currently pouring in through the windows I can see that’s it’s somewhat see through so you can see my boxes stashed underneath 🤣 I shall rectify that for my next sale!

Open for business! Happily the gazebos survived the downpour last night but there was heavy pooling along the edges of the roof which cascaded inside so the fish have had a swim & the jugs are full! On the plus side there were no breakages or damage & several teatowels later everything’s sparkly clean!! We’re here till 4pm so do pop along...

First day almost over! It’s been super HOT & busy busy busy! My amazing team of family helpers have definitely earned a glass of something strong tonight! We’ve had the most fabulous day in the glorious sunshine - were still open till 7pm & will be here tomorrow from 10 - 4 despite the weather forecast so do pop along... Jewel colours glinting on my draining board this afternoon... 💗💚💙 I am busily washing everything by hand before logging & pricing, not only because they are generally filthy when I find them (!) but also because it gives me a chance to give them a thorough inspection for chips & cracks. I’m on a buying trip all this week stocking up for my upcoming 🌸SPRING SALE🌸 What a glorious scorcher it was yesterday! ☀️☀️☀️ We’d brought lots of water for the 🐕 but totally forgot to bring a bowl 🤦🏼‍♀️ Luckily I’d had a hugely successful buying day & among the items in my bulging trolley (+ rucksack + 4 bags for life) was the perfect vessel - a STUNNING very large pink lustre bowl commemorating the American War of Independence... it will be available at my sale on JUNE 16th & 17th (if I can bear to part with it) Really hope to see you there & do bring/tell a friend as there will be LOTS of goodies on offer!

⭐️SOLD⭐️ Spectacular HUGE Vintage Italian Majolica Bamboo & Rabbit Jug. Measures a whopping 28cm high by 25cm wide from spout to tail but the measurements somehow don’t do it’s size justice - it really is a whopper & it really is spectacular! The green chocolate egg is the same size as a large normal egg to give you a sense of scale. The darling bunny handle does have a little bit of damage - glaze loss on the tail & one ear, not chips, just glaze loss (swipe to see closeups) but this is no way detracts from its beauty - it’s perfect in every other way. They are Eastern European & look so pretty & colourful grouped together in a bowl on your Easter table. I will post a separate listing for the eggs which are all for sale but this lovely antique white lattice dish is French & used to have little feet but at some point in its past they have been broken off. 💚 Flowers for Mothers Day 💚 My darling mum moved into a care home in September last year. Her health is sadly deteriorating due to a very rare condition called CBD (Corticobasal Degeneration). I haven’t seen her since November & she’s not allowed fresh flowers due to Covid restrictions in the home so I sent her this photo instead of the flowers I arranged for her birthday party in our garden last August. Today, however, was a VERY special day as I actually went inside her care home & spent a joyous, wonderful hour with her which was ‘better than all the flowers in Covent Garden’! As you can see we are grinning so hard that our eyes have closed! Being separated from our loved ones has been torturous for everyone but there is a light at the end of the tunnel so here’s to vaccines & being able to hug them tight very soon... xx 💚

I am fortunate enough to have a next door neighbour with a Mimosa tree & this year we have the most enormous branch of it hanging over into our garden, so much in fact that it needed trimming. Too good to waste, I filled this ENORMOUS Spode blue & white jug with it. You simply cannot get a true sense of the scale despite the lemons 🍋 This jug is absolutely gargantuan (31cm high by 35cm wide) & would look simply stunning sitting on the hall table of a country house or large kitchen island. You don’t have to be an addict like me (!) you can just have one & it will look beautiful but a trio in 3 different sizes is just 👌🏻. They come in all sorts of shapes, sizes & colours of glass - some are tinged with grey, some yellow & some white - I personally have a mixture of them all but if you are more disciplined than me & can stick to just a few, if you pick 3 different sizes with the same hue they look absolutely amazing - swipe to see what I mean. 🌸 SOLD 🌸 Pink for Valentines weekend 🌸 “The Sailor’s Tear” 🌸 This is a HUGE pink lustre Maritime Sunderland jug with gorgeous squiggles all over. It’s an absolute WHOPPER (24cm high by 29cm wide) hence the matchstriker to give you a sense of scale. The handle has been repaired in spectacular stapled fashion which I think is part of its beauty & is so well done it really is a marvel of engineering! Sunday Lunch - table for two. I am missing entertaining friends & family so much today that I decided to cheer myself up by setting the table for Sunday lunch as if we were entertaining guests. I also found lots of gorgeous hellebores growing in the garden so dusted off my giant swan planter & mixed them in with supermarket tulips so I can now be cheered all week long! It’s the pleasure in small things that will get us through this eternal lockdown...
