A truly showstopping black and white Wedgwood Display made up of the most beautiful black Jasperware plates, ashtrays and dishes. I have a particular fondness for black Jasperware, specifically the simplest neoclassical designs, and have spent many years putting this beautiful collection together. I think it is incredibly striking and would look amazing in either a contemporary or traditional setting.

Did you know that in 1774, after over 10,000 documented experiments, Josiah Wedgwood perfected the formula for Jasperware. It has become an iconic symbol of the Georgian era and is still in production today. 

The central plate in this display is the oldest and rarest piece due to the fact that it is black 'dipped' on white rather than black all the way through. It dates to c.1850 and is ever so slightly different in colour to all the others but it is a very rare survivor and is the star of the show quite literally taking centre stage. 

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE - to assist with hanging, all my displays come complete with disc hangers on the back of each plate or dish and a folder containing templates and an installation guide.
