Black Wedgwood Jasperware Display H173
A showstopping black and white Wedgwood Display made up of the most beautiful black Jasperware plates, ashtrays and dishes.
In 1774, after over 10,000 documented experiments, Josiah Wedgwood perfected the formula for Jasperware. It has become an iconic symbol of the Georgian era and is still in production today. The central plate is the oldest and rarest piece due to the fact that it is black overlaid on white rather than black all the way through and it dates to c.1820.
I have a particular fondness for black Jasperware, specifically the simplest neoclassical designs, and have spent many years putting this beautiful collection together. I think it is incredibly striking and would look amazing in either a contemporary or traditional setting.
INCLUDED IN THE PRICE - to assist with hanging, all my displays come complete with disc hangers on the back of each plate or dish and a folder containing an installation guide.
